Wild Tour Albania is not a tour company in the brochure sense. We are a small team of local guides who grew up in this terrain — and now take people through it, the way it was meant to be experienced.
We didn't choose
the Alps.
It started with a 4×4, a few routes that only locals knew, and the realisation that most visitors to Northern Albania were seeing the same three stops from the same paved road.
We built Wild Tour Albania to do the opposite. No bus schedules. No souvenir shops. No routes designed to look good on Instagram. Just real terrain, the right vehicle for it, and guides who know every ford, every seasonal closure, and every ridgeline that opens up at the right time of day.
Based in Shkodër, we run everything from single-day hikes on Mount Tarabosh to multi-day 4×4 expeditions through Kelmend and the Kir Valley. The common thread is simple: we only run routes we still want to drive ourselves.

Terrain-first routing
We design every trip around the terrain, not the timetable. Routes change with the season, the water level, and the snow line — because that's how real mountains work.
Local knowledge only
Every guide is from this region. We don't read from scripts or follow GPS blindly. We know which pass is open, which meadow has the best light at 6pm, and where the road ends.
Safety without padding
Off-road and alpine travel carry real risk. We manage it with preparation, not restriction. Proper vehicles, recovery gear, satellite communication, and the experience to know when to turn back.
Small groups, real pacing
We don't fill seats. Groups are sized for the terrain and the experience — usually 2 to 6 people. The pacing is driven by the landscape and the group, not a fixed schedule.

We drive the routes in the off-season to keep them fresh. We maintain the vehicles ourselves. We know the families in the villages we pass through. That depth is what makes the difference between a tour and a real expedition.
